Fourth of July Holiday:

Without fail, fireworks will be set off this July 4th weekend. Many cities throughout the DFW area will have firework shows presented by professional pyrotechnicians. However, many folks will be setting fireworks off illegally within our city limits and residential neighborhoods. Most fireworks are authorized in unincorporated areas of surrounding counties, provided a burn ban is not in place. Most cities have ordinances strictly prohibiting the possession and discharging of fireworks. Keller is no exception. No fines are cheap, and you can bet Keller officers will be looking out for violators. Fireworks bring with them an element of danger, particularly involving the unknown of where the firework(s) will end up. Too many homes and businesses have the potential of catching fire because of firework fallout. Please, be safe and have fun this holiday weekend. We can all do our part by keeping the fireworks out of Keller!

Have a safe and Happy Independence Day!
