K-H-W Teen Court is a cooperative program between the cities of Keller, Haltom City, and Watauga. Teen Court allows juvenile Class C misdemeanor offenders an alternative to the criminal justice system. The offender's case is presented to a jury of their peers by teen volunteer attorneys. Jury members assign a community service sentence according to a discipline grid. Upon successful completion of the program, the offender's case is dismissed and does not appear on their record.
Teen Court meets on the first, second, and third Tuesdays of each month and is held in all three cities on a roving basis. Teen Court begins at 6:00 PM. Defendents are to arrive by 5:30 PM and volunteers should arrive by 5:45 PM.
