The Keller City Council is composed of a mayor and five council members in places designated as 1 through 5, all elected at-large for two-year terms by qualified voters within the city limits of Keller. Council places 2, 3, and 4 are elected in even number years; and the Mayor and Council Places 1 and 5 are elected in odd numbered years (unless there are resignations in other positions).
Under the provisions of the City Charter, and subject only to the limitations imposed by the Texas Constitution, State law, and the City Charter, the City Council enacts local legislation, adopts the annual operating budget, and sets policy.
Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at Keller Town Hall. Meetings generally start with a Pre-Council meeting at 6:00 PM, followed by the Regular City Council meeting at 7:00 PM. All City Council meetings are open to the public.
