The City of Keller has 426 total acres of parkland with 336 developed acres at 11 different park sites and 90 undeveloped acres. The Parks and Recreation Department maintains and manages the parks to provide a quality outdoor experience for individuals for all ages and interests.  Please see the list below to learn more about our parks and their amenities. Parks and Trails Master Plan Amendments Approved by City Council

At their Oct. 6, 2009 meeting, the City Council unanimously approved the 14 amendments to the Parks and Trails Master Plan which are included in the 2007 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan. The amendments included relocations of the proposed hike and bike trails on the Parks and Trails Master Plan, an additional trail, the removal of proposed trails in several developed areas, and recategorization of porposed greenwalks.

Amenities:  7 lighted baseball fields, 2 lighted football/4 t-ball fields, 4 lighted fastpitch softball fields (one full size adult softball field), 5 regulation soccer fields (3 lighted), 2 youth soccer fields, 5 concession/restroom buildings, a pavilion with 6 picnic tables and large grill, 2 playgrounds, 1-mile hike and bike trail, pedestrian/ equestrian bridge, 2 sand volleyball courts, picnic tables, Big Bear Creek with fishing pier and pond, a multi-use arena with 2 warm-up pens, equestrian trails, 9 parking lots, Blue Sky Indoor Soccer complex and practice fields, and wildflower meadow.

In September 2008, the City purchased 11.4 acres of land adjacent to the park to develop as a future community park.  The additional parkland will be master planned at an undetermined future date.

The Big Bear Greenbelt Trail bisects the city along the Big Bear Creek corridor and winds through parks and natural settings.  The constructed trail is approximately 5.4 miles long from the west end of the trail at the Keller Sports Park, on Chisholm Trail, eastward to Bear Creek Parkway at Lakeridge Drive.
