The goal of Emergency Medical Services "EMS" is to effect the best possible outcome for the patient that we can.

Whenever someone calls "911" their phone call is answered by trained communicators who are certified in Emergency Medical Dispatch or "EMD".  PHI PD FD

 

 

   The responders to an emergency medical call can include Keller Police Officers who are equipped with automatic external defibrillators "AED's",  firefighter / paramedics on an advanced life support fire engine and firefighter / paramedics on a mobile intensive care unit ambulance.

Dr. YamadaRoy K. Yamada, M.D., FACEP is our physician medical director. His EMS experience includes serving as EMS medical director of the fire departments for the cities of Mansfield, Bedford, Pantego, Richland Hills, North Richland Hills, Allen, Midlothian, Hurst and Euless, as well as for DFW International Airport.

He has also served as EMS medical director for Tarrant County College, Brookhaven College and PHI Air Medical of Dallas. Dr. Yamada has been recognized by the Texas Department of State Health Services as the EMS Medical Director of the year in 2001. 

Bobcat Roll OverWe are proud to say that Keller Fire Rescue is licensed at the highest level possible by the Texas Department of State Health Services which is the Mobile Intensive Care Unit level.
