Firefighter of the Year BJ Cauley, Firefighter/Paramedic/FTO BJ Cauley constantly strives to improve the department in both firefighting and EMS duties. BJ is a 4-year veteran of the department and continually shows a hgih degree of professionalism, diligence, and dedication. BJ holds Firefighter Intermediate, Fire Inspector II, and Fire Officer I Certifications.

Driver/Operator of the Year John Bennett, Fire Engineer/Paramedic John Bennett is committed to providing excellent service to the department and the citizens of Keller. A 10-year veteran of the department, he holds Driver/Operator Pumper, Intermediate Firefighter, Fire Instructor II, and Fire Officer II Certifications.

Officer of the Year Charles Mitchell, Fire Captain Charles Mitchell's hard work and innovation has earned his peers' respect and superiors' appreciation. A 20-year veteran of the department, Charles is a Licensed Paramedic and has an Associate Degree in Fire Protection. He also holds Master Firefighter, Master Fire Inspector, Master Fire Arson Investigator, Fire Instructor II, Fire Officer II, and Hazardous Material Technician Certifications.

Fire Administrative Employee of the Year Debra Van Reenen, Fire Inspector The Administrative Employee of the Year award was established as a way to recognize all employees in the Keller Fire-Rescue Department. Debra, a three year veteran of the department, was nominated by her peers who describe her as a valuable employee with a commitment to internal and external customer service. She holds Advanced Firefighter, Advanced Fire Inspector, and Advanced Fire Investigator Certifications.
