Keller Recycling Day
Hazardous, Shredding & Electronic Waste Recycling

The spring recycling event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Mar. 4th in the parking lot of the Keller Municipal Service Center at 151 Bear Creek Pkwy.
Traffic for the event will flow from Wall-Price Keller Road West to Chisholm Trail to Bear Creek Parkway. Entrance directly from Hwy. 377/Bear Creek Pkwy. will not be permitted.
Hazardous waste collection will take place from 9-11 a.m. or until the truck is full, whichever comes first.
Hazardous waste services are free to Keller residents and E-Waste/Shredding is available to Keller residents and businesses. A current Keller water bill or driver's license must be presented as proof of residency.
Acceptable Hazardous Waste: acids, aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries (all kinds, including car batteries), brake fluid, cooking oil, craft chemicals, degreasers, drain cleaner, fertilizer, fluorescent light bulbs, compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), herbicides, household chemicals, motor oil, paints and stains, paint thinners, pest strips, pesticides, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, oil filters, solvents, transmission fluid and varnish.
Unacceptable Hazardous Waste: pharmaceuticals and needles, ammunition, asbestos, building materials, butane cylinders, electronics, explosives, medical waste, PCBs, propane cylinders, radioactive material, smoke detectors and tires.
Acceptable electronic waste items: Anything with a plug! Televisions, VCRs, computer equipment (CPUs, monitors, printers), fax machines, copiers, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers and dryers, gaming systems (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, etc.), vacuum cleaners, radios, batteries and telephones.
Shredding: Bring all those old, personal documents to be shredded and help discourage identity theft. Shredding takes place on site until the truck is full. Shredding is limited to 5 bankers boxes, 3 black contractor bags, 5 tall kitchen bags; 10 paper grocery bags; strictly enforced. Due to traffic concerns, there will be no watching. Documents left after the truck is full will be taken back to the shredding facility for destruction.
