Join us every Friday in January and February for free yoga classes provided by licensed instructor Stacy Kroeger.
Today’s fast-paced world has us racing through our days, both physically and mentally. As a result of that daily race, anxiety disorders are the most common of all mental health problems with 10 percent of teens and 40 percent of adults suffering from some form of anxiety. Early signs of anxiety include muscle tension, headaches, insomnia, and irritability.
Yoga eases life’s stresses, reduces feelings of nervousness and enhances mindfulness by using the proven tools of physical postures, meditation, mantras, visualizations, and breathing techniques.
Join Stacy each week as she uses these ancient techniques to calm our minds, while strengthening our bodies. Her goal is to provide a consistent experience each class, as well as educational handouts, so students can re-create their own on-going yoga sessions at home. The handouts will provide guidelines for students to apply yoga principles daily. Whether you have just 10 minutes or a full hour, you will have the tools and experience to achieve a sound, relaxed mind and body.
The class is geared to all levels of yoga students. Beginners are welcome! Please bring your own yoga mat and a hand towel (for the option of cushioning the knees in some poses). If you have a yoga block and/or a yoga blanket, please bring those as well.
