Zine Workshop Series

For teens and adults ages 11+, registration required

  • Introduction: What the heck's a zine? Some sort of publication, usually mass-produced by photocopying (in some cases, scanned and put on the 'net) on any range of topics, but usually filled with passion, a means of telling one's story, sharing thoughts, and/or artwork, writing, comics and doodles!

Celebrate International Zine Month with us! Learn DIY publishing techniques, paper folding, and collage. Supplies such as paper, pens, markers, magazines, scissors, and glue sticks, old books and magazines, etc. will be provided by the library. Participants may bring optional materials, such as personal artwork, photographs or writing!This program is for ages 11 and up.

The last meet up will be a zine swap where attendees will receive copies of their peers' work. Attendees are to register with the intention of attending each workshop. Sessions will be on Thursdays in July at 2pm starting on July 5th. Register here.
