On September 19, 2017, the City of Keller adopted a tax rate of $0.427500 for Fiscal Year 2017-18 which is a decrease of $.0025 from the Fiscal Year 2016-17 tax rate of $0.43000. This represents the fourth tax rate decrease in four years. In addition, the City of Keller increased the homestead exemption from 4% to 8% which represents the second increase in two years.
The City of Keller adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 6.3 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $18.81.
