Tarrant County issues outdoor burn ban
The Tarrant County Commissioners Court issued a 90-day outdoor burn ban at its meeting Tuesday, Dec. 12.
Commissioners cited dry grass conditions and the winter's seasonal gusty winds in its decision, saying the county is under "imminent threat" of wildfires that could result in damage, injury, or loss of life or property. Violators of the outdoor burn ban could be charged with a Class C misdemeanor and fines of up to $500.
