Keller Library gears up for first adult spelling bee

Post Date:02/09/2018

Teams of up to five adults are invited to test their spelling skills while sipping craft brews next month as the Keller Public Library hosts its first Sip & Spell Adult Spelling Bee.

The free competition open to anyone 21 or older begins at noon on Saturday, March 3 at What’s on Tap in Keller Town Center, 201 Town Center Lane Ste. 1107. No registration is required; just show up at noon with your teammates and get ready to spell! And good news for our more introverted attendees: Adult spelling bees answers are written rather than spoken in front of a crowd.

The top three teams will take home prizes that day, and the top two teams will also advance to the regional competition, representing Keller in an event scheduled for noon on Saturday, April 28 at Collective Brewing Project in Fort Worth (112 St. Louis Ave.). For more information about the Sip & Spell Adult Spelling Bee or any of the Keller Public Library’s programs, call 817-743-4800.
