Parks & Recreation gets young anglers hooked on fishing

Post Date:12/28/2018

Anglers 16 and younger are invited to join Keller Parks and Recreation and Texas Parks and Wildlife from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 16 for free mornings of rainbow trout fishing.

Bring your fishing pole, favorite bait and an adult fishing buddy for a morning of easy casting at the Keller Town Hall Pond, 1100 Bear Creek Pkwy. There will be prizes for biggest fish, smallest fish, first fish caught and most fish caught!

Anglers are reminded that the Community Fishing Lake daily bag limit is five fish per day, and stocking dates are subject to change because of weather and fish availability. A Freshwater Fishing License is required for any anglers ages 17-65 who plan to fish alongside the children.
