Water line projects to impact Pearson Lane, Bear Creek Pkwy. West traffic

Post Date:01/25/2019
Two separate water line projects are expected to impact drivers on Pearson Lane and Bear Creek Parkway West through mid-February.

North Pearson Lane
The City of Southlake plans to begin the repair of the 30-inch shared Keller/Southlake water supply pipeline at the intersection of FM 1709/Keller Parkway and North Pearson Lane on Monday. Work will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through possibly Saturday over the course of the next few weeks.

North Pearson Lane will remain open to northbound and southbound traffic, but will be shifted onto temporary pavement. Once traffic patterns change, the southbound right-hand turn lane from North Pearson onto westbound Keller Parkway will be closed for the duration of the project.

Bear Creek Parkway West
In preparation for construction on a new water transmission line connecting Keller to the Alta Vista Pump Station in Fort Worth, work started this week on excavations near the Union Pacific Railroad crossing on Bear Creek Parkway West. This work, including boring beneath the train tracks, is expected to reduce eastbound traffic to one lane for the next two weeks. Once boring is completed, the excavations will be backfilled and steel-plated to allow traffic to use the right eastbound lane until the new water main can be installed and the road repaired (estimated in late spring/early summer).
