Johnson Road improvements comment period now open
Residents who missed the Aug. 22 public input meeting focused on upcoming improvements to Johnson Road, including lane configuration, drainage upgrades, and pedestrian connectivity, have three weeks to share their comments with staff as part of the first public input period.
Meeting attendees heard from Public Works staff and the professional engineering consultant team on this project as they reviewed options for various enhancements and their pros and cons. That presentation also included conceptual drawings, and residents learned how options would impact the construction timeline and price tag as well as individual properties along Johnson with regard to things like right-of-way.
Weren't able to attend? No problem! The meeting was recorded and archived to the city website, and an online form is now available to collect preferences, comments and concerns until the end of the day Friday, Sept. 13. It is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED that those planning to submit comments watch the presentation for full details before filling out their form.

Following this three-week feedback period, Public Works will put together a final draft concept for the Johnson Road project that will be presented during a second public input meeting and see additional City Council discussion before a final concept is ultimately voted upon.
