Tarrant County issues outdoor burn ban
The Tarrant County Commissioners Court issued a 90-day outdoor burn ban at its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Commissioners cited dry grass and ongoing extreme heat in their decision, noting that the county is experiencing a drought that has created a potential for damaging wildfires. Violators of the outdoor burn ban could be charged with a Class C misdemeanor and fines of up to $500.
