Registration open for KPD Citizens Police Academy
Citizens interested in learning more about the Keller Police Department and the role of law enforcement in Keller will have the opportunity early next year. The Keller Police Department's next Citizen Police Academy class - which serves as a pre-requisite for joining the Volunteers in Policing unit - kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 28 and runs from 6:30-9:30 p.m. every Tuesday for 14 weeks (until April 28) at KPD headquarters, 330 Rufe Snow Drive.
To join the class, Download an Application or pick one up from the police facility during normal business hours.
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, living or working within the Keller or Westlake city limits, and have no felony arrests on their record nor any arrest records in the past five years. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10; once the 2020 class fills, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and be the first notified of registration for the next year's course.
