Keller ranks safest among Texas cities with 30k-100k population
In a new ranking released this week by Elite Personal Finance, the City of Keller was named the eighth-safest in Texas overall as well as the safest city in the state for populations between 30,000 and 100,000 residents.
The site used data from the FBI crime statistics in the United States in 2017 (the most recent set made available), and focused on violent crime. To get the score, the site used the formula: Crime Score = ( Total Number of Violent Crimes / Population ) x 1,000. Keller's score was 0.52.
The nearby communities of Trophy Club and Colleyville ranked second- and third-safest overall in the state, and Southlake ranked third safest for populations between 30,000 and 100,000. Thank you to our incredible public safety team and to all of our engaged residents; keeping Keller safe takes all of us.
