Changes to user agreements at the Keller Sports Park will mean new fees, opening the fields to private rentals and practices, and formalizing opportunities for
tournaments in the months ahead.
City Council approved the changes last week, as new and refreshed fields reopen to young athletes at the park as part of our $40+ million renovation.

- Fields can be rented outside of the user organizationsโ game schedules by the associations, residents or non-residents.
- Grass fields will be $50 per hour for residents (and the associations) and $150 for non-residents, with synthetic fields priced at $150 per hour for residents and $250 for non-residents.
To open up rental availability, the Parks & Recreation Department has also established deadlines for associations to provide their detailed schedules and rosters to the city.

- A new $10 fee will be introduced for resident athletes โ per player, per sport, per season, with a cap of $40 per family per season.
- Non-resident fees will increase from $30 to $50 per player, per sport, per season, with a cap of $200 per family per season.
- The associations will be able to host tournaments during their seasons โ and outside organizations will be able to host tournaments outside of those seasons โ with fees assessed for field rentals and to cover costs like electricity and janitorial services.

Fields are being renumbered and named, and the operating policies detail which sports can be played on which fields, including:
- Soccer fields are for soccer use only (with the exception of the synthetic turf field)
- Baseball and softball can be played on each otherโs fields
- The lacrosse field is for lacrosse use only
- The two multipurpose fields can be used for football, rugby, baseball, soccer or lacrosse
Finally, the updates include requirements for annual reports by the associations to the Parks and Recreation Board, including their financials, and the ability for the city to charge associations or rental users for damage to the fields.
