City oil dropoff offers new life for old grease

Post Date:10/30/2025
The City of Keller is proud to serve as a drop-off site for this year's Holiday Grease Roundup! As we head into the holiday season, instead of sending all that turkey grease, cooking oil, and other congealing residues down your drains (where they can cause clogs, sewage backups and big repair bills), bring them to us and give them a second life as biodiesel or biogas.

To participate, just follow the signs to the grease collection station at the Municipal Service Center (151 W. Bear Creek Pkwy.). Open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting Saturday, Nov. 1, and running through Jan. 31, 2026, this collection is for used cooking oil and grease only — no motor oil or automotive fluids, please!

What to do:
✔️ Collect your cooled oil or grease in a sealable container
✔️ Drop it off at our station
✔️ Feel good about helping your pipes and the planet
