Area residents, drivers, and Bear Creek Intermediate faculty, staff and parents will encounter road impacts on Pate Orr Road South next week as work begins to replace deteriorating water lines.

As part of planned maintenance, construction on this project is expected to start Monday, Jan. 12. Pate Orr Road South between Bear Creek Parkway and Keller Parkway will operate as a northbound-only route for the duration of the water line replacement work, expected to finish by the end of April, weather permitting.

Following those line replacements, road closures will vary as crews restore the construction zone, including repaving Pate Orr Road South. Road rehabilitation is anticipated to wrap up in June.
