Trail users will encounter a closure this week where the trail crosses through Old Town Keller just north of the Bear Creek Parkway/Whitley roundabout, as staging begins for the next major phase of construction on the Elm Street project: demolition and reconstruction of the bridge.

Work on the Elm Street bridge is expected to start at the beginning of February, with Elm Street closing at Pecan Street for the duration of the work. The trail connection will remain closed throughout this portion of construction as well, and we ask that trail users respect the barriers to ensure their own safety and the safety of the work site.

Weather permitting, bridge construction is expected to take about four months.
