TxDOT kicks off Davis Boulevard median project
Construction is expected to start as soon as Monday, March 9, on TxDOT’s long-anticipated raised median project on FM 1938/Davis Boulevard.
Aimed at reducing crash rates as traffic volume on the thoroughfare continues to rise, the state project will convert the two-way left-turn lane into a 14-foot-wide raised median, with left-turn lanes at median breaks.
Construction is expected to begin at the north end of the project in Southlake, then move south through Keller and into North Richland Hills, stretching from FM 1709/Southlake Boulevard to Emerald Hills Way. TxDOT’s preliminary schedule shows median installation through Keller’s portion of Davis Boulevard beginning in late April and continuing through June.
Drivers should anticipate intermittent interior-lane closures as this project progresses.Return to full list >>
