Keller forges new partnership with Texas Rangers

Post Date:04/15/2026

A new partnership between the City of Keller and the Texas Rangers is bringing Major League Baseball history and inspiration to the newly renovated Keller Sports Park.

Through a first-of-its-kind licensing agreement, baseball and softball fields within the park will be named in honor of Texas Rangers Hall of Famers like Adrian Beltré and Nolan Ryan, and visitors will experience additional Rangers branding throughout the complex.

“The city’s investment in the Keller Sports Park has created world-class facilities that the entire community can enjoy and presented a unique opportunity for this partnership,” said Rob Matwick, executive vice president of public affairs for the Texas Rangers. “Once we visited the site and saw the excellence being created, the decision to align our brands moved quickly. The Rangers would like to thank Mayor Mizani, the entire City Council and staff for working through all of the details for this amazing project.”

Located at 265 Golden Triangle Blvd., the Keller Sports Park is nearing completion on a transformative, approximately $48 million renovation. The project includes new and upgraded fields, enhanced spectator areas, modern concession and restroom facilities, improved parking and roadways, and new family-friendly amenities designed to serve residents for generations to come.

Mayor Armin Mizani said the collaboration reflects the city’s dedication to quality-of-life amenities and youth experiences.

“The Keller Sports Park renovation is a reflection of who we are as a community: focused on excellence, invested in our families and dedicated to creating opportunities for the next generation,” Mizani said. “This partnership with the Texas Rangers elevates an already exceptional facility and gives our young athletes the chance to play in an environment inspired by some of the game’s greatest players. It’s another example of how Keller continues to lead through our commitment to being Texas’s Most Family-Friendly City.”

Keller will celebrate the new partnership as part of the Keller Sports Park ribbon-cutting scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 25. Join us for a morning of family activities, vendors and giveaways, including a free raffle for four tickets to a Texas Rangers game.
