Keller voters elect McMullin, Whatley, Randklev

Post Date:05/02/2026
Keller voters have selected Mayor Pro Tem Ross McMullin to be our next mayor, elected Councilman Chris Whatley to his fourth term, and welcomed Charles Randklev as our newest City Council member while sending the Place 4 seat to a runoff election.

With Tarrant County Elections showing 100% of voting centers reported, the unofficial results of the May 2 City Council election (in ballot order) are as follows:

MAYOR
Ross McMullin – 3,611 (57.87%)
Tag Green – 522 (8.37%)
Ed Prem – 2,107 (33.77%)

PLACE 5
Ned Brown – 1,180 (19.23%)
Ashley Stone Hernandez – 1,342 (21.87%)
Chris Whatley – 3,615 (58.91%)

PLACE 6
Zane Kupper – 2,262 (37.05%)
Charles Randklev – 3,843 (62.95%)

PLACE 4
Elda Rata – 1,176 (19.18%)
Russ Medeiros – 2,560 (41.75%)
Jarrett “Doc” Armstrong – 2,396 (39.07%)

Because none of Place 4’s candidates earned more than 50% of the vote, the top two finishers — Russ Medeiros and Jarrett “Doc” Armstrong — will advance to a runoff election on June 13.

Election results are scheduled to be canvassed at a special City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 12, and the winners will be sworn in at the regular meeting on Tuesday, May 19.

Congratulations to Mayor-Elect McMullin, Councilman Whatley and Councilman-Elect Randklev! And however you voted, thank you for casting a ballot in the local elections.
