Post Date:05/20/2026 8:24 AM
Town Hall was packed last night, as the swearing-in of Mayor Ross McMullin marked the beginning of a new era in Keller leadership.

Mayor McMullin begins his first term as mayor after serving on the Keller City Council since 2020 and as mayor pro tem since 2022. A practicing attorney, youth sports coach and active community volunteer, Mayor McMullin and his wife, Katie, are longtime Keller residents proud to raise their five children in Texas’s Most Family-Friendly City.

“Serving as Mayor of Keller is the honor of a lifetime and a responsibility I will never take lightly,” Mayor McMullin said. “I’m deeply grateful for the trust and confidence our community has placed in me. Together, this council is committed to keeping Keller safe, family-friendly, and to delivering the exceptional quality of life our residents expect and deserve. I’m excited to help lead our city to the next level with a steadfast commitment to excellence, service and results.”

The evening also featured the oath of office for Councilman Chris Whatley, who is celebrating the start of his fourth term in Place 5. A Tarrant County native and longtime Keller resident, business owner and entrepreneur, Councilman Whatley joined the City Council in 2017 following earlier service on the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at this week’s meeting, and congratulations, Mayor McMullin and Councilman Whatley!
