The City of Keller enforces a 2,000-foot buffer for registered sex offenders to keep them from living near places where children commonly gather. In Keller, these include schools, public libraries, amusement or video arcades, indoor and outdoor amusement centers and parks, swimming pools (public, commercial, and semi-private), childcare facilities, youth sport athletic fields, crisis centers or shelters, skate parks or rinks, youth centers, movie theaters, bowling alleys, conservation areas, trails, recreation centers, public playgrounds, and scouting facilities.
