Home MenuCitizens Police Academy
The Citizens Police Academy is a free, 10-week community program designed to teach residents the inner workings of the Keller Police Department, from tactics and operations to traffic laws, criminal investigation procedures and more. Participants enjoy weekly presentations, hands-on experiences and behind-the-scenes tours, all while getting to know the law enforcement professionals who proudly serve the City of Keller and the Town of Westlake.
Program graduates are also eligible to join our alumni group and volunteer with the Keller Police Department as part of our Volunteers in Police Services unit.
Starting Jan. 8, 2026, participants will meet from 6-9 p.m. every Thursday for 10 weeks. They will also be asked to attend a session the night of Monday, Jan. 5, focused on an address from Chief Brad Fortune.
