City of Keller Gas Well Drilling Ordinance:
The City of Keller Gas Well Drilling and Production Ordinance was created to establish reasonable and uniform limitations, safeguards and regulations for present and future operations related to gas well drilling.
The Gas Well Permit Application Fee is $10,000 for each well bore.

The Gas Well Planned Development (PD) application contains a checklist for all required documents for a Gas Well drilling and productions request. All required signatures and documentation must be submitted for a complete application.

History of the City of Keller Gas Well Drilling Ordinance:
On April 21, 2009, the Keller City Council appointed and charged the Gas Well Ordinance Review Committee to review the City of Fort Worth Gas Well Ordinance and make appropriate adaptations for the City of Keller. The City of Keller Gas Well Drilling and Production Ordinance was created via weekly open work sessions held April 30th through June 24th, 2009.
On July 21, 2009, the Keller City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1465 which regulates the drilling and production of gas wells within the Keller city limits.
The City Council amended the Gas Well Ordinance on August 4, 2009, by adding a new section to include a penalty section, by Ordinance No. 1467.
On December 15, 2009, the City Council conducted a public hearing and amended the Gas Well Ordinance to provide correct references to applicable Sections within this Ordinance, and to delete information that was inadvertently retained from the City of Fort Worth Gas Well Ordinance, by Ordinance No. 1484.
