Getting a Library Card

Adults who live in the City of Keller can get a free library card by bringing in a picture ID and proof of residence.  Minors under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian with them to obtain a card.  Many people have Keller addresses but live in other municipalities.  To determine if you are a Keller resident, go to and do a property data search.  Keller residents will have City of Keller listed as a taxing jurisdiction.

Residents of the cities belonging to the MetrOPAC libraries (Fort Worth, Watauga, Haltom City, Richland Hills, Benbrook, and Burleson) can use their cards at the Keller Public Library.

Residents of other cities can purchase a non-resident card for an annual fee of $25.00.  Senior citizens age 62 and older are entitled to a 50% discount off this fee.

The Keller Library does not accept the TexShare card.  For a complete listing of libraries that do, see the Texas State Library's TexShare page.
