The City Manager's Office consists of the City Manager, Director of Administrative Services, Public Information Officer, a Management Assistant, an Executive Secretary and the Keller Town Hall Receptionist.

The purpose of the department is to maintain and enhance the partnership among citizens, elected officials and city employees through efficient and effective management of public services.

Mark Hafner has served as the city manager since June 2015, promoted to the position following a 14-year stint as Keller's police chief and three years, additionally, as its public safety director.

Hafner holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Public Administration — from Central Connecticut State University and Trinity College, respectively — and is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. His public safety career stretches 35 years. The father of two grown sons, he lives in Keller with his wife, Jill, and can often be found out on the trails or in the pool, training for local races, marathons and triathlons.
