The Keller City Council is beginning the process of updating signage regulations in the Unified Development Code. During the UDC update approved July 7, 2015, staff recognized that several sections of the code, including signage, would require more extensive outreach and research, and would be updated separately.

However, to fix immediate issues, some changes were made to sign regulations at that time. This update will address remaining issues and address any consequences of the changes made in July, 2015. Issues that have been raised regarding the regulations adopted in 2015 include the complexity required to determine allowed sign size and the consideration factored in for the size of wall signs.  Long-standing issues identified by staff are the organization of the section on signage, user friendliness, and various and sometimes confusing regulations for temporary signs.

The new Sign Code  was adopted July 5, 2016 by City Council

The new Sign Code can be found here.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Sign Code Update!
