December 8, 2020 Runoff Election
Elect a Mayor
No person received a majority of the votes for Mayor. Therefore, a Runoff Election will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
Official results show that Armin Mizani earned 47.06% of the vote and Tag Green earned 38.56% of the vote in the November 3, 2020 election. (M. Mathews earned 14.39% of the vote.) Keller City Council candidates must win a majority (more than 50%) of the vote.
The Texas Constitution requires that "a municipality so providing a term exceeding two (2) years but not exceeding four (4) years for any of its non-civil service officers must elect all of the members of its governing body by majority vote..." Keller City Council members serve three-year terms, therefore they must win a majority of the vote. That means receiving more than 50% of the vote.
