The Operations Division is comprised of personnel who respond to emergency incidents from strategically located fire stations. Firefighters work on one of three shifts (A, B, or C). Each shift works 24 hours on duty followed by 48 hours off.
Operations personnel respond to fires, medical calls, hazardous materials incidents, rescues and other emergencies. In addition to emergencies, personnel are responsible for pre-fire plans, continuing education and skills training, maintaining stations and equipment, participating in community events, conducting station tours, conducting hydrant flow tests and other public service activities.
