**We will be modifying this event to protect the staff and public that will be in attendance. We will not have any fishing rods, bait, or assistance available for the public at this event to help accomplish proper social distancing. Please make sure you bring your own supplies (you can use items in your kitchen as bait as all that are listed have been used successfully: mini marshmallows, corn, and even skittles). We are working on a way for the public to be able to measure and record their fish independently.**

Fishing For Fun (1)

This FREE event is for anglers 16 and under. Bring your fishing gear, and try to be the best angler as we stock our pond. There will be prizes for the biggest fish, smallest fish, first fish caught, and most fish caught. Make sure you bring an adult buddy with you!

Keller Parks and Recreation partners with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to sponsor two free fishing events annually. In January, the pond at Bear Creek Park will be stocked with rainbow trout; in June, the pond behind Town Hall will be stocked with freshwater catfish.

Anglers are reminded that the Community Fishing Lake daily bag limit is five fish per day. There is no minimum length regulation on channel catfish in CFLs. Stocking dates are subject to change because of weather and fish availability.

For information, please call Keller Parks and Recreation at 817-743-4050 or email parksandrec@cityofkeller.com.
