Alarm permit fees are part of citywide fee schedule changes effective July 1

(KELLER, Texas) July 3, 2012 - Due to unforeseen circumstances online alarm permit applications from the PMAM website will not be processed until approximately August 1. This is a delay from the previously announced July 1 expected start date.

Applications can be downloaded and printed here and submitted via US mail to the PO Box on the application prior to August 1.

Please be aware that Keller Police will continue to respond to all alarm calls regardless of whether the site is registered or not. Enforcement of the new ordinance will be effective on September 1. This will allow for ample time for citizens to register and comply with the ordinance.

The City of Keller wants to make this process as easy and convenient as possible for homeowners and businesses. When online registration is made available an announcement will be distributed. If you have an existing alarm registered with the City of Keller, you will receive a registration packet in the mail at your permit address.

The new ordinance requires a yearly $25 alarm registration fee. Other changes include a tiered fee schedule for false alarms:

1-3 per calendar year free included in registration fee.
4-5 per calendar year $50.00 each.
6-7 per calendar year $75.00 each.
8+ per calendar year $100 each.

Homeowners and businesses who have already registered their alarms within the previous twelve months will be exempt for this upcoming year. Registration is required on an annual basis in a rolling 12-month period.
