Work is expected to begin Monday, March 9 on a three-month project to improve drainage around Meadow Knoll.

The City of Keller will be installing an 18-inch diameter storm drain to collect the constant groundwater discharge from the outlet of the Newton Ranch Detention Pond. This new storm drain will convey the collected water north along the west side of Chandler Road and then east along Johnson Road to the upstream end of the culvert just west of Rhonda Drive, where it will be discharged.

This project will also add two 30-inch diameter culverts to the existing three 30-inch culverts under Meadow Knoll Court. The headwalls will be extended at each end to accommodate the new culverts and guard rails installed at this location.

Residents will have access to their homes at all times during construction, though traveling lanes may be reduced, with flagmen, at various points during the day. Work on this project is expected to finish up in June 2015, weather permitting.

For more information about this project, please contact the Public Works Department at 817-743-4080.
